Literature Performance Postponed. Hello! Back once again to let you all know some important stuffs. Hope all of you will visit the class blog more as I might update on some important stuffs. Firstly, Mrs Ong says the literature performance thingy WILL BE POSTPONED as shes not free on Monday. So, please tell other classmates too or it will be a wasted trip on Monday and maybe waste of sleeping time too, haha. I'm not sure when it will be postponed to but if I know, I will keep all of you updated. Okay, secondly, Ms Chong has written a letter for 2E5 and I'm gonna paste it here. I will print it out too and paste it on the noticeboard so that all of you will have a chance to look at it too. Here goes :D Dearest 2E5, Hey guys! How are all of you doing? It’s been a long time since I left and just had the urge to write to you guys. Genuinely hope that you guys still remember me! Because I do and I miss you guys! For those who want to know (Now I know jokers like Omar would say no I don’t want to), I’m currently studying in NTU, School of Communications and Information. School life has been great and I’m really enjoying being a student once again! (No! I’m not kidding!) Anyways, your examinations are nearing! I hope you guys are dong your revision by now! I have lots to study tooL!! I’m so glad that great teachers are taking over your class. All the while that I was teaching there, I felt really inadequate because I really don’t know how to go abut teaching you guys and I feel guilty when I see your potential and eagerness to learn. I know that your grades weren’t fabulous when I was around and may have affected your learning process even up till now. My apologies for that and I really want to encourage you guys to keep going. I had relief teacher when I was a secondary school kid too and I totally blamed her for my lousy grades. But that did not stop me from working hard because I knew I had to. I know many times you guys will think what the hell am I studying this for when I know I’m never going to be a teacher, mathematician, scientist or whatever. I’m not going to sugar coat it and say that whatever you learn now will be relevant. But what you feel about your subject are not going to change things, so why not work hard for it, pass this stage, and clear it once and for all. You have nothing to lose. Of course, when I mean work hard, I don’t mean STUDY ALL DAY LONG. Haha. Please don’t kill yourselves ok. Engage yourself in recreational activities MODERATELY. And GET SOME SLEEP. On a lighter note, I noticed some changes in your class, like love blossoming (winks) hahaha. Do remember to not let that kinda thing ride over everything you’ve worked for for the past 2 years or so. BE a responsible girlfriend/boyfriend and encourage your significant other as he/she works hard too!!! Okay, I shall stop my ramblings here and do my tutorials soon. Pardon me for my poor grammar here (actually I can’t be bothered..please don’t let your English teacher see this if not I DIE AH. Hahaha) Okay work hard k guys! Teacher's Day Celebration. Hello 2E5-ians! So, did you enjoy the Teacher's Day celebration today? I hope you do and have enjoyed eating all the stuffs too, haha. Don't you agree that the cakes are very delicious? (: Firstly, wanna thank everybody cause you've cooperate and came for the party. If not, it would be a very quiet one and it won't be like a party anymore. This surprise party is counted quite successful as Mrs Wong and Mr Zaid are quite happy with the party. I hope this will make the class bonding stronger and we shall organise more outings together, okay? (: Do continue to tag at the tagboard, the tagboard is kind of dead, haha. Sorry for not posting for such a long time, a few stuffs to update. Firstly there will be no tests next week (I guess), aren't you glad, haha. :D Anyway, there will be letter writing next week for chinese pupils. Remember to bring along your dictonary too, not very sure what day it is. But just bring it on Monday in case the letter writing is on Monday. Secondly, about the homeworks. There are 3 homeworks, erm, actually 2. 1) The Algebra maths worksheet that I've given out on Friday 2) The Art worksheet whereby you have to draw the patterns and stuffs. 3) The english formal letter writing corrections. For those who ran off without passing it up yesterday, haha! Example: Me (OPPS!) Ohyah, and also remember to sign the maths test which Mrs Wong just gave us back, remember okay! Next I'm gonna write about the process diary(Art). For the sake of those who did not copy down the informations. Art EOY 2008 - Question Paper will be given out 3 weeks in advance. - Preparation for Process Diary - Final work on the Day of Exam - They will only provide A3 Size paper on that day so for those who want to colour or paint or whatever, please bring your own colour pencils. And as what Ms Candy have say, please draw bigger on the A3 size paper. Since you have such a big piece of paper, its better to make full use of it. - Submit Process Diary with Final Work Process Diary ---> 60% Final Work ---> 40% This shows that process diary is very important! And thats what the process diary will contain, here goes: - Introduction - Mindmap/ Wordlist - Observational Drawing (At least 5) - Development Sketches - 4 layouts - 2 colour schemes - Not more than 5 A4 size paper (But can use double side) Theme: 6 choices, choose one. And during the exam day, you can make changes to your final work but only minor changes allowed! So make a good decision on what to draw. Thats all for today, bye! Updates on tests. Alright, for next week's test once again. 12/8(Tuesday) - Science Practical Test. 13/8(Wednesday) - Geography Test, you will be tested on Unit 11 and 12. And also there'll be unseen poem too, if I'm not wrong. 15/8(Friday) - History Test, testing on Chapt 6 and 7 but chapter 7, you will be tested till 'Maria Hertogh Riots'. And also there will be chinese test, testing on Chap 18, 19, 20 and also the storybook, page 60 to 77. Thats all for the tests next week. And another few reminders. Those groups who haven't presented their literature play to Mrs Ong, please remembered to stay back after school next week. I don't know which day so do check with Mrs Ong. As well as the PW, finish up or touch up on your powerpoints as we have to present it next week during PW lessons. Remember it do holds some marks for our literature or english. (Not sure which one) As for today's homeworks, there are 3 of them. Firstly, is the CME worksheet, you'll have to hand it in on Tuesday. Secondly, a maths worksheet on Algebra. Thirdly, a worksheet on graphs and stuffs. So remember to do it, no excuses! (: Anyway, hope all of you like the new blogskins though its a little plain.
